May require access to storage areas where medications are kept and carry out procedure that require the use of medications. Requirements
- Education - Associate degree in Dental Hygiene
- Experience - No experience required.
- SC Registered Dental Hygienist
- Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
- Proficient computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database, data entry)
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year of experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs oral prophylaxis; remove hard and soft deposits and stains from the surfaces of teeth; polish all surfaces of teeth.
- Applies topical fluoride to the teeth.
- Exposes and develops radiographs.
- Gives oral hygiene instruction and counseling.
- Provides nutrition and dietary counseling.
- Makes and confirms appointments.
- Reviews medical and dental health history.
- Takes and records blood pressure.
- Charts dental disease.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
