We’re seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated team on a part-time or full-time basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to advanced periodontal care while building meaningful relationships with patients and collaborating with a skilled and supportive team. About Western Mass Periodontics Our practices are equipped with 5 operatories in Pittsfield and 3 operatories in Great Barrington, designed to provide personalized care in a comfortable setting. From advanced periodontal procedures to dental implant services, we are dedicated to creating custom treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient. Requirements

  • Education: Associate degree or higher from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program
  • Licenses: Active MA state dental hygiene license and CPR certification
  • Experience: 1+ year preferred, but new graduates are welcome!

Nice To Haves

  • Skills: Certification in anesthesia and proficiency in scaling and root planing (SRP) are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Greet and prepare patients for hygiene procedures with warmth and professionalism
  • Perform scaling, root planing, and fluoride treatments to support optimal periodontal health
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
  • Conduct head, neck, and oral cancer exams
  • Identify periodontal needs and collaborate with the dentist to provide exceptional care
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant workspace
  • Note: This role does not include capturing and interpreting x-rays
