We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Hygienist with 1 to 3 years of hands on clinical experience to join our team, Spanish Bilingual highly preferred

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from an approved school of dental hygiene.
  • Registered dental hygienist in New York State
  • Maintains continuing education credits in accordance with New York State Regulations
  • Minimum of one to three years’ experience as a dental hygienist
  • Thorough knowledge and practice of quality dental hygienist practices

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish Bilingual highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride and sealants, and root planning
  • Removing soft and hard deposits and extrinsic stains from teeth using hand instruments, Piezo ultrasonic scaler inserts and prophy handpieces.
  • Take X-rays
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
  • Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system
  • Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care, including pediatric dentistry when necessary.
  • Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submitting for medical coding.
  • Maintain accurate up to date patient records in compliance with FQHC and regulatory standards
  • Participate in community outreach and dental health education initiatives to promote preventive care and empower patients to make informed oral health decisions
  • Adhere to organizational protocols, including Open Door policies and procedures
  • Maintain a high level of organization and time management in a fast-paced clinical environment
