Requirements
- Degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Current Indiana Dental Hygiene License
Nice To Haves
- Two years of experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform hygiene care under an Access Practice Agreement when applicable
- Complete all hygiene duties as directed by the supervising dentist
- Obtain dental histories; assess, document, and maintain patient records
- Prepare patients for dental examinations
- Educate patients on oral health, prevention, and disease management
- Perform scaling and make appropriate referrals
- Recommend community resources and support continuity of care
- Follow infection control, OSHA, and CLIA standards
- Maintain licensure, CPR certification, and ongoing professional development
- Protect patient confidentiality and comply with all agency policies
- Participate in meetings, trainings, committees, and other duties as assigned
