About The Position

Nat-Su Healthcare is looking for an experienced Dental Hygienist to join our organization. The Dental Hygienist plays a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing preventive dental care to patients. This position involves performing thorough dental cleanings, applying fluoride treatments, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with dentists to assess patients' oral health and assist in developing treatment plans. Additionally, this role requires maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Ultimately, the Dental Hygienist contributes to improving patients' overall health and well-being through effective dental care.

Requirements

  • Utah valid dental hygiene license.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in dental hygiene or equivalent.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients.
  • Certification in advanced dental hygiene practices preferred
  • 2+ years work experience
  • Experience with EMR (electronic medical records), medical terminology a plus)
  • CPR/BLS
  • The required skills of dentistry and manual dexterity are essential for performing precise dental cleanings and procedures.
  • Hand-eye coordination is critical when using dental instruments and ensuring patient comfort during treatments.
  • Knowledge of local anesthesia administration enhances the ability to provide pain-free care, while skills in patient education foster better oral hygiene practices among patients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
  • Assist dentists during procedures by providing necessary tools and support.
  • Administer local anesthesia and perform teeth whitening procedures as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
