Place of performance: The Dental Hygienist Services will be performed on-site in the Health Services Department at the Federal Correctional Institution Tallahassee in Tallahassee, FL. You must pass mandatory background, credit check and drug screening. Pay: $44.54. Sign-on bonus: $1,500 sign-on bonus. Benefits: Health insurance. Dental insurance. Vision insurance. 401(k). The shift will be up to 8 sessions per day, with a thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch period, if applicable, Monday through Friday, exclusive of Federal holidays.

Requirements

Candidate is required to be certified/licensed as a Dental Hygienist in Florida and must submit photocopies of their license and/or board certification.
Dental radiology certification
Anesthesia certification
CPR certification

Responsibilities

Provide dental prophylaxis on inmate patients who are referred by the dental staff.
Provide periodontal scaling and root planning on inmate patients who are referred by the dental staff.
Provide complete periodontal charting on inmate patients.
Provide thorough individualized oral hygiene instructions to each patient.
Monitor oral hygiene and periodontal condition on each patient seen for dental prophylaxis.
Complete necessary dental x-rays as specified by the Dentist.
