About The Position
Sacramento River Dental Group is a growing, patient-focused dental practice with a close-knit team of two doctors and two hygienists. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality care in a supportive, low-stress environment. While we currently operate at a steady pace, we are actively working to grow our patient base through referrals and exceptional service. We are seeking a dedicated and patient-centered Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team. This role focuses on delivering exceptional preventative and clinical care while educating patients on maintaining optimal oral health.
Requirements
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license
- Laser certification ( required )
- Current CPR certification

Responsibilities
- Conduct patient screenings, including oral health history, head and neck exams, and periodontal charting
- Identify signs of oral cancer and gum disease
- Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis), including removal of plaque, tartar, and stains
- Apply preventative treatments such as fluoride and sealants
- Take and develop dental X-rays to support diagnosis
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques tailored to individual needs
- Provide nutritional guidance related to oral health
- Deliver post-treatment care instructions and ongoing oral health maintenance guidance
- Accurately document clinical findings, treatment plans, and patient progress
- Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols
- Collaborate with dentists to communicate findings and assist with procedures as needed
