About The Position

Singing River Dentistry Dental Hygienists is a licensed professional who is both an oral health care provider and educator, who uses preventive, therapeutic, and educational methods for the control of oral disease.

Requirements

• SRD hygienists are respected and of good character while representing the vision and mission of the whole team. They shall be the best version of themselves. They will represent one’s self with class and dignity on social media. They will have pride in their appearance while on the job. They will care properly for their hygiene and health. Since hygienists work in very close personal space with the patients, wearing perfumes, using tobacco or alcohol during work hours is prohibited as these odors can make the patient very uncomfortable and present hazards. Hygienists will aspire to be a lifetime learner. They will be willing to give back to their community through volunteer services.
• Active Dental Hygiene License from the Board of Dental Examiners of Alabama
• Must upload current resume to be considered for position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for the present schedule by reviewing the patients projected treatment.
• Create a raving fan experience.
• Acquire patients blood pressure and medical history.
• Perform preventive and diagnostic care such as radiographs, periodontal sceenings and appropriate treatment needed for the patient.
• Provide patient education through use of intraoral cameras, pamphlets/articles and demonstration.
• Record all findings for the doctor.
• Chart needed and existing work.
• Schedule recall appointments.
