Under direction of a licensed dentist, provides oral health care to patients by cleaning, scaling and polishing teeth, taking x-rays, applying fluoride, applying preventative sealants and identifying patients in need of corrective dental care. Provides oral hygiene instructions to patients and families. Completes charting in the electronic health record.

  • Knowledge of principles and procedures of dental hygiene acquired through completion of an accredited program in Dental Hygiene.
  • Must possess and maintain current State of Wisconsin licensure as a Dental Hygienist.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred.
  • Requires excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills necessary to interact courteously and respectfully with patients, parents/families and members of the health care team.
  • Knowledge of computer and keyboard, word processing skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic PC issues.
  • Ability to stand/walk/move a moderate amount of time, sit frequently, reach moderately, bend/squat/kneel occasionally, push/pull 50 pounds occasionally, and lift/carry items weighing up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet patient care needs.
  • CPR certification obtained within 90 days of hire - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
  • Spanish speaking preferred.
