About The Position
Baystate Dental is seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist for our office located in Belchertown, MA. This position is ideal for both new graduates and experienced hygienists, offering the flexibility to choose preferred working days. For those interested in full-time employment, additional hours are available at our nearby locations. We pride ourselves on being a well-established practice that values the contributions of our hygienists, recognizing their essential role in our success. To ensure a smooth transition into the role, the selected candidate will undergo a short training program designed to build confidence and comfort before they begin seeing patients. As a Dental Hygienist at Baystate Dental, you will be trained in advanced techniques, including laser and Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), a cutting-edge Swiss technology that enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of dental hygiene practices. This position not only allows you to stay updated with the latest advancements in dental technology but also provides a supportive environment for professional growth. We are committed to mentorship and support for new graduates, ensuring they have the resources needed for a successful start in their careers. Your role will involve delivering periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, with a focus on improving the oral health of our patients. You will be responsible for patient screening, medical history documentation, dental charting, and the application of fluoride and protective sealants. Additionally, you will remove calculus, stain, and plaque from above and below the gum line, provide nutritional counseling, and implement self-care programs to prevent disease.
