About The Position

Beardslee Dental is seeking a Hygiene-specific Dental Assistant to work primarily with patients during their dental cleaning appointments. This role involves updating medical histories, taking x-rays, performing coronal polishing, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. The position offers training and opportunities to work alongside experienced restorative dental assistants.

Requirements

• Great references (2-3 required in resume)
• Previous experience in dental assisting strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Open Dental is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to make patients feel welcomed and at ease

Nice To Haves

• Experience with dental impressions

Responsibilities

• Update medical history
• Take x-rays
• Perform coronal polish, floss, and fluoride application
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
• Set up rooms and clean rooms
• Sterilization of dental instruments
• Schedule recall appointments when needed
• Assist with sealants
• Take dental impressions (a plus, but training will be provided)
