About The Position
The Dental Equipment Service Technician position is a vital role responsible for the installation and servicing of dental equipment in practitioners' offices. This position requires the technician to work closely with experienced colleagues and supervisors to enhance customer service skills, utilize support tools effectively, and develop troubleshooting techniques. The primary objective is to ensure service success that not only improves customer satisfaction but also maximizes customer retention and increases profitability for the company. In this role, the technician will provide repair and installation services in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring that all necessary tools are maintained and readily available for service tasks. The technician will work independently to complete on-site installations, repairs, maintenance, and testing of equipment. Proper troubleshooting steps must be followed to diagnose technical problems and determine appropriate solutions. Understanding customer requirements and making suitable recommendations to enhance their experience is crucial. The technician will also be responsible for managing inventory levels in their service van, producing detailed service reports, and attending required training sessions, including Henry Schein Dental Career Development training and specific manufacturer technical training. Compliance with OSHA regulations and maintaining personal protective equipment is mandatory. Effective communication with team members and dispatchers is essential to keep everyone informed about the progress of assignments. All work orders must be completed and reviewed with the customer before departure, ensuring that all job-related paperwork is submitted within required timeframes. Participation in special projects and other duties as required is also part of the role.
