About The Position

Northwest Human Services (NWHS) is seeking a mission-driven Dental Clinic Manager to lead the daily operations of our dental department. This role ensures that our community has access to high-quality, patient-centered, and equitable dental care within a collaborative, multi-site healthcare environment. The Dental Clinic Manager oversees all aspects of daily operations for the dental department-ensuring efficient clinical workflows, exceptional patient experiences, and compliance with all regulatory standards, including HRSA, OSHA, HIPAA, and The Joint Commission. In partnership with the Dental Director, the manager plays a key leadership role in strategic planning, quality improvement, staff supervision, and financial performance monitoring. This position also supports integrated care coordination, community outreach, and data-driven performance management to advance NWHS's mission of accessible, compassionate care for all.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Healthcare Administration or related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years of management experience in a healthcare or community health center setting.
  • Minimum three (3) years of direct supervisory experience in dental or healthcare operations.
  • Strong knowledge of dental workflows, compliance regulations, and quality assurance standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and patient populations.

Nice To Haves

  • Radiology Certificate, EFDA, and BLS/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to dental staff, fostering a collaborative, mission-driven, and accountable team culture.
  • Supervise Dental Assistants, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and professional development.
  • Promote open communication, staff engagement, and teamwork aligned with organizational goals.
  • Oversee day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring efficiency, patient flow, and compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures that support consistent, safe, and effective dental care delivery.
  • Collaborate across departments to coordinate integrated care and operational improvements.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage the dental program budget, maintaining performance within established financial targets.
  • Support fiscal responsibility through resource allocation, expense management, and revenue optimization strategies.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives, monitor outcomes, and implement improvements based on data and best practices.
  • Ensure alignment with organizational quality standards, compliance requirements, and patient-centered care principles.
