Position Summary As a Dental Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for tasks within the Revenue Cycle Management department. You should be proficient in using the practice management software (PMS) to update patient’s files, run and monitor weekly and monthly reports to verify insurance payments received, and upload completed insurance forms into patient’s electronic files. Responsibilities Accurately post patient and insurance payments. Respond to practice inquiries and communicate with patients as needed. Work insurance and patient AR reports diligently and routinely. Ensure timely filing of all claims, send corrected claims when needed. Review insurance denials and actively work accounts for payment. Provide necessary information and documentation requested by insurance companies for claim payment. Follow outlined procedures for delinquent patient accounts. Outbound calls to patients regarding monies owed. Navigate insurance payor portals to locate EOB’s and payments. Sending dunning letters and statements timely. Determine accounts that need to be sent to third party collection agency. Be willing to provide support as needed for various additional projects. Maintain strict confidentiality, adheres to all HIPPA guidelines/regulations. Qualifications 2+ years of dental insurance billing experience. High School diploma or equivalent. Working knowledge of CDT codes and EOBs for dental/ortho insurance. Ability to be proactive and take initiative. Excellent communication skills. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.). Well-organized, detail oriented, diligent work ethic, and proficient computer skills. Quick learner, personable, self-started, friendly and a team player. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Denticon.
