About The Position
Provides assistance to the dentist in direct patient care activities, maintains a clean working environment, sterilizes instruments and manages dental supplies and materials needed in the day to day operations of the dental clinic and in the operating room. New employees must be willing to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella) and/or without evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005. If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.
Requirements
- HS diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years experience Or graduated from a Dental Assistant program.
Responsibilities
- Provides chair-side dental assistance.
- Performs prophylaxis and fluoride treatments on patients.
- Provides dental assistance in the Operating Room.
- Takes dental radiographs.
- Maintains mailing and filing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels; requisitioning supplies.
