We are recruiting for the following position: Sea Mar is a mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccine organization Full-time Dental Assistant III position available for our LynnwoodDental Clinic. The candidate will assist the dental provider in thedelivery of dental procedures allowed by the WA State Dental PracticeAct. Other responsibilities are as follows: assist provider inRestorative, Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgeryprocedures, and any other procedures allowed by the WA Dental PracticeAct. As a Dental Assistant III applicant must be knowledgeable of theproper sterilization methods and OSHA regulations including QualityImprovement. Must be able to duplicate and mount radiographs, placetemporary restorations, take impressions, pour and trim models, placeretraction cord, place matrix bands, perform coronal polish and givefluoride treatments. Duties include maintaining proper records formaterial safety data sheets (MSDS), spore test, inventory of dentalsupplies, assist in training new Dental Assistants and organizeschedules to generate check lists for maintenance of dentalprocedures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Anticipate and provide to Dental Providers all necessary chair sideassistance using four-handeddentistry technique (as specified in the Dental Assistant Manual) withprocedures in categories as required: Diagnostic, Preventative,Restorative, Endodontics, Periodontics, Oral Surgery, Prosthodontic,Orthodontics and other services allowed by the Washington DentalPractice Act. Identify and categorize each patient's age-specific grouping ofneeds, such as those for infant,adolescents, and geriatric patients.Identify and categorize each patient's age-specific grouping ofneeds, such as those for infant,adolescents, and geriatric patients.Participate in scheduling appointments arriving, and departingpatients and reviewing providerschedules in Dentrix and registering patient in Allscripts PM. Oversee/maintain proper sterilization methods and OSHA regulationsin all clinic areas includingtreatment rooms and sterilization areas._Other duties assigned as needed._QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR REQUIREMENTS:

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Washington State Dental Assistant Registration.
  • Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification within 90days of hiring and maintain throughout employment.
  • Must have 2 years working experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years Expanded duties Dental Assisting experiencerequired.
  • Dental record experience and familiarity with the utilization ofcomputers and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills required for this position.
  • Must be able to communicate, read and write in English and have theability to interpret common written material about dentistry.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred, but not required.
