Dental Assisting Instructor

Fortis Institute in Scranton is seeking an experienced, highly motivated dental assistant to join its faculty. We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our dental assisting program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach dental assisting courses. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation.
Requirements
- Completion of a Dental Assisting program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or a Diploma; associate degree preferred
- DANB RHS - required
- Dental Xray - required
- Certified Dental Assistant and/or Registered Dental Assistant
- At least three years of experience as a dental assistant chairside
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven
Nice To Haves
- Prior teaching experience preferred
