Requirements

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Completion of formal CDA training program or DANB certification.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records and ensure patient safety.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and team members alike.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Nice To Haves

• Formal Training or DANB Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through effective four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for use.
• Maintain infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
• Document patient medical histories and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Ability to complete coronal polishing, sealants, SDF.
• Experience and/or willingness to learn orthodontic assisting.
