About The Position
We are seeking a full-time Registered Dental Assistant to join our growing team at Doniphan Family Dental in Canutillo, TX. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn and expand their dental assisting skills in a supportive environment. As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during various treatment procedures, ensuring that our patients receive the best care possible. You will be responsible for setting up and breaking down the operatory post-treatment, taking dental radiographs (X-Rays), and managing infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment. Additionally, you will provide patients with instructions for oral care following dental treatment procedures and educate them on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain their oral health. Your responsibilities will also include providing outstanding customer service, maintaining efficient and accurate procedures to help manage the doctor's schedule and patient flow, and ensuring that there is no patient wait time. You will be expected to review patient charts prior to the doctor's arrival, log appropriate patient data during exams and treatments, and transcribe doctor notes in the patient chart while maintaining patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance. Knowledge of dental terminology is essential for performing your job successfully, and you will verify patient health history and document it appropriately in the patients' charts. We are willing to train the right person, and compensation will be based on experience, with the opportunity to qualify for a monthly bonus after the probation period.
