Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Completion of a CODA-accredited Dental Assistant program (preferred)
• Current NY DA license or DANB CDA, ICE & RHS certifications (per state requirements)
• CPR certification (required)
• At least 2 years of dental office experience (required)
• Professional, reliable, and patient-focused with strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and create a positive, professional environment
• Prepare and sanitize exam rooms, instruments, and materials
• Assist chairside during a wide range of dental procedures
• Take and process radiographs
• Support the team with study casts, removable appliances, and lab tasks
• Ensure proper sterilization, infection control, and equipment maintenance
• Track inventory and anticipate supply needs
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and post-operative instructions
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records
