About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our dental team in delivering high-quality care to our patients. This role involves assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring that all patient records are accurately documented. The Dental Assistant will play a crucial role in enhancing the patient experience and ensuring smooth operation of the practice.

Requirements

• CPR Certification
• Experience in dental assisting is preferred, particularly in areas such as but not limited to general dentistry.
• Familiarity with dental terminology and documentation practices.
• Knowledge of infection control standards and procedures.
• Ability to take vital signs accurately.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate medical records.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including but not limited to general dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics procedures.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
• Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately in medical records.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
• Manage patient flow by ensuring timely communication with patients regarding their treatment plans.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
