About The Position

Windsor Family Dentistry is a general dentistry clinic seeking a warm and outgoing dental assistant or EDDA to join our team full time. We're a close knit group of professionals who believe that excellent care starts with creating a positive and fun environment. We offer a variety of services for patients of all ages ranging from routine cleanings and fillings to cosmetic dentistry and more. Our dentists are approachable and easygoing. Our ideal dental assistant or EDDA will be reliable and self motivated. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of Dental Assisting experience
  • EDDA certification is preferred but is not required
  • Experience in General Dentistry
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • High school diploma; graduation from a dental assistant school is preferred
  • Denticon experience is a plus but not required
  • Must have reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients into the office
  • Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort
  • Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed
  • Sterilize instruments according to regulations
  • Assist the dentist chairside
  • Undertake lab tasks as instructed
  • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
  • Keep operatories clean and well-stocked
  • Schedule appointments
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
  • Comfortable with placing fillings
  • Comfortable taking impressions
  • Experience fabricating temp crowns
  • Experience seating crowns
  • Pleasant, professional chairside manner
