About The Position

Windsor Family Dentistry is a general dentistry clinic seeking a warm and outgoing dental assistant or EDDA to join our team full time. We're a close knit group of professionals who believe that excellent care starts with creating a positive and fun environment. We offer a variety of services for patients of all ages ranging from routine cleanings and fillings to cosmetic dentistry and more. Requirements

• At least 2 years of Dental Assisting experience
• EDDA certification is preferred but is not required
• Experience in General Dentistry
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Excellent communication and people skills
• High school diploma; graduation from a dental assistant school is preferred
• Denticon experience is a plus but not required
• Must have reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the office
• Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Assist the dentist chairside
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep operatories clean and well-stocked
• Schedule appointments
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
• Comfortable with placing fillings
• Comfortable taking impressions
• Experience fabricating temp crowns
• Experience seating crowns
• Pleasant, professional chairside manner
