About The Position

The Dental Assistant will perform basic chair side assisting duties, instrument and equipment maintenance, radiographic proficiency, and dental supply inventory. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth workflow in the dental office and providing excellent patient care.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Graduation from a Dental Assistant Program required
• Maryland Dental Radiation Technology Certificate required
• Expanded Functional Certificate preferred
• Certification in Basic Dental Assisting required
• Two years minimum experience required

Responsibilities

• Perform chair side assisting duties
• Greet and seat patients
• Prepare room for treatment
• Assist dentists during procedures
• Clean room after treatment to prepare for next patient
• Take appropriate radiographs as requested
• Keep instruments cleaned and maintained
• Maintain stock of dental supplies
• Keep an up-to-date record of supply ordering
• Maintain maintenance log
• Perform other duties as assigned
