Location TBD Clearance Level T2 – Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) Primary Function Supports dental providers in delivering safe, efficient dental services in a high-security detention clinic. Works under the supervision of the Dentist.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred.
  • Current state registration/certification if required; radiography certification as applicable.
  • BLS/CPR certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary clearances and credentials required for access to detention facilities.
  • Meet the requirements of the contract for all immunizations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident, resided in the U.S. for 3 years in the past 5 years.
  • Must complete all required training.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in correctional/forensic or public health settings.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a dental assistant.
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
  • Has undergone a federal investigation at the level of Tier 2 or higher; has been granted favorable suitability/eligibility and has not had a break in service for more than 24 months.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials; assist during exams and procedures.
  • Take and process radiographs; maintain infection control and sterilization per CDC/OSHA.
  • Document treatments and maintain accurate health records; schedule and manage patient flow.
  • Manage dental supply inventory and equipment maintenance logs.
  • Support emergency response within scope (e.g., dental trauma first aid).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with federal privacy standards.
