About The Position
Professional Care Dental Services PC; is a, physician-founded, privately owned/operated, nationally accredited correctional health care practice. Correctional medicine is a challenging and exciting opportunity for today’s dental professional, allowing you to truly utilize all your learned skills and knowledge. It is the perfect hybrid of Outpatient and Urgent/Emergency Dentistry, serving an underserved and extremely diverse patient population. We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Dental Assistant to join our team at the Onondaga County Justice Center in Syracuse, NY and the Onondaga County Correctional Facility in Jamesville, NY. This position only requires 16 hours of on-site dental care weekly! weekly schedule is Friday and Saturday day shift hours To quickly highlight some key points: Hourly compensation is negotiable and commensurate based on experience, rate range is $20-$24 per hour Part-Time PTO & Sick Leave package included.
Requirements
- Preferred to have either an associate's or bachelor's degree in dental assistant from an accredited college or university or two years minimum of experience in the field.
- Licensed dental assistant in the state of New York
- Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to develop a trusting relationship with patients/inmates.
- Ability to monitor, observe and document patients.
