About The Position
Dentologie is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to provide outstanding patient care in our Southport practice! Come be a part of something special! Schedule: As a full-time employee, we would ask that you are comfortable working Monday-Friday, 5 shifts per week (including 3 morning and 2 evening shifts). Monday - Thursday: schedule would be either a morning shift (7:30am - 4:00pm) or an evening shift (12:00pm - 8:30pm). Fridays: shift is always 7:30am-3:30pm. Requirements
- Required: minimum six months of assistant experience.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service & written communication skills.
- Clinical knowledge, skills along with patient care.
- Prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate.
- Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred: coronal polishing certificate.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties.
- Assist dentist chairside during examination and treatment of a variety of procedures.
- Provide a 10-star Patient experience.
- Prepares instruments and materials for the dentist for upcoming procedures.
- Provide direct patient care in all dental services, including restorative, ortho, pediatric, endo, periodontics, prosthodontics and OS.
- Passes dental instruments between provider and assistant (4-handed dentistry).
- Make patients as comfortable as possible in the chair while preparing them for treatment.
- Sterilize & disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories post treatment.
- Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education.
- Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos.
- Keep treatment records such as charting existing restorations as well as planned treatment.
- Monitor daily supplies for restocking.
- Assist dentist in providing patients with instructions for care post-treatment procedures.
