About The Position
Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a part-time or full-time Dental Assistant for an opportunity at Edinburgh Correctional Facility located in Edinburgh, Indiana and Indiana Women's Prison in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Dental Assistant (Indiana) works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or minimum six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required
- Certification in Dental Radiology required
- Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Certification as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant preferred
Responsibilities
- Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments
