About The Position

Dental Assistant Advanced Endodontic Specialists We are an established, patient-centered endodontic practice committed to delivering exceptional care and an outstanding experience for every patient we serve. We’re seeking a compassionate and energetic Dental Assistant who is motivated to grow with our practice and contribute to our long-standing, supportive team. In this role, you’ll support our providers during treatment, help deliver outstanding patient care, and play an important part in the overall efficiency of the practice. Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday from 8am-5pm

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of Dental assisting experience
  • Be cognizant of the expectations and concerns of all patients and be able to respond in an empathetic and professional manner.
  • Present a professional appearance.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment.
  • Have impeccable attention to detail.
  • Speak and act in a calm and professional manner and work easily with patients and other team members.
  • Display a positive attitude at all times.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to practice honest and ethical behavior and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing the patient for treatment
  • Preparing materials and equipment for treatment
  • Assisting the endodontists in performing treatment
  • Charting and documentation of patient information
  • Cleaning and sterilization of operatories and instruments
  • Taking radiographs and CT Scans
  • Greet patients in the waiting area and escort them to the operatory.
  • Assist the doctor in the administration of treatment as required or directed by the doctor.
  • Review the daily schedule and prepare the operatory for patient treatment using the correct protocols and regulations.
  • Maintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control, exposure control and safety procedures.
  • Review the patients’ health history and document chart entries in an efficient & timely manner. Prepare treatment reports and documents for referring dentists.
  • Monitor patient flow and assist other team members in assuring that all patient records and documents are properly and accurately completed and filed.
  • Be familiar with dental terminology, materials, medications and instruments used during endodontic procedures.
  • Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist.
  • Place patient care calls and other necessary telephone calls in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Assist the dentist in management of medical or dental emergencies.
  • Assume responsibility for other expanded duties and responsibilities that may be delegated by the doctor.
