About The Position

Timber Dental is seeking a dependable, patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our collaborative and community-driven dental team. Position Summary The Dental Assistant supports the clinical team by assisting dentists during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional patient experience while maintaining efficiency, safety, and clinical excellence.

Requirements

  • Dental Assistant certification or registration per state requirement
  • Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care

Nice To Haves

  • Previous dental assisting experience preferred
  • EFDA license preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures
  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms in accordance with infection control standards
  • Take and process dental X-rays and intraoral images (as permitted by state regulations)
  • Sterilize and organize instruments and equipment
  • Escort patients, review medical histories, and ensure patient comfort
  • Provide chairside support and anticipate doctor and patient needs
  • Educate patients on post-operative and oral hygiene instructions
  • Accurately document patient information and treatment notes in the practice management system
  • Support front office or clinical team needs as required
