Position Summary The Dental Assistant supports the clinical team by assisting dentists during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional patient experience while maintaining efficiency, safety, and clinical excellence.
Requirements
- Dental Assistant certification or registration per state requirement
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
Nice To Haves
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred
- EFDA license preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms in accordance with infection control standards
- Take and process dental X-rays and intraoral images (as permitted by state regulations)
- Sterilize and organize instruments and equipment
- Escort patients, review medical histories, and ensure patient comfort
- Provide chairside support and anticipate doctor and patient needs
- Educate patients on post-operative and oral hygiene instructions
- Accurately document patient information and treatment notes in the practice management system
- Support front office or clinical team needs as required
