Cleanse the supragingival surface of the tooth in preparation for: The placement of bands, crowns, and restorations Dental dam application Acid etch procedures Removal of dressings and packs Take final digital impressions for any activating orthodontic appliance, fixed, or removable prothesis Collect and record information pertaining to extraoral conditions Collect and record information pertaining to existing intraoral conditions Train or instruct patients in oral hygiene techniques, preventive procedures, dietary counseling for caries and plaque control, and provide pre- and post-operative instructions relative to specific office treatment Ensures the dental office has the inventory needed and communicates the needs to the designated supply purchaser
