Scheduled Weekly Hours: 32 Join our dedicated team at Gundersen Health System as a Dental Assistant in our Orthodontics department. Gundersen Health System is a physician-led enterprise recognized for delivering high-quality healthcare services across Wisconsin. We are looking for a candidate with prior Dental Assistant Experience, who is a motivated and skilled individual to provide exceptional support to our dental professionals and ensure a positive experience for our patients. Position: Dental Assistant Department: Orthodontics Hours: 32 hours per week Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 am – 4:00 pm Locations: Downtown Dental Specialties, La Crosse
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years of work experience in a dental practice
- Minnesota State Dental Assistant License
- CPR for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in electronic patient records (example Epic) is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Responsibilities
- Taking and developing dental X-rays and impressions for orthodontic treatment planning.
- Educating patients on proper oral hygiene and care of orthodontic appliances.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
