This position requires a confident clinical professional who can support the doctor across multiple disciplines while leading the assisting team and maintaining an efficient clinical workflow.

Requirements

  • Extensive chairside experience in general dentistry
  • Strong assisting experience with endodontic procedures
  • Skilled assisting with oral surgery and implant procedures
  • Several years of hands-on clinical assisting experience
  • Ability to anticipate doctor needs and keep procedures running efficiently.
  • Expanded duties dental assistant certification required.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making ability
  • Exceptional organization and time management
  • Deep understanding of clinical procedures and dental workflow
  • Comfortable leading both the doctor and assisting team to maintain an efficient patient experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with orthodontic procedures preferred

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate the doctor's clinical flow throughout the day, ensuring the doctor is always in the correct operatory and moving efficiently between patients
  • Help manage procedure timing so appointments stay on schedule and daily production goals are achieved
  • Guide the doctor on when to move to the next patient and when procedures should wrap up to maintain schedule efficiency
  • Lead and mentor the dental assisting team, setting expectations for performance and efficiency
  • Maintain a smooth patient experience by anticipating clinical and patient needs before delays occur
  • Oversee clinical supply ordering and inventory management
  • Manage supply usage to stay within the practice's clinical budget
  • Track supply costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Ensure all operatories are prepared, stocked, and ready for procedures
  • Maintain sterilization standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and clinical protocols
