About The Position
Family Dental Center is seeking an enthusiastic clinical coordinator/dental assistant to join their team due to an upcoming retirement. The ideal candidate will have a teamwork approach and an outstanding attitude. This role involves a variety of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the office and excellent patient care.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of accredited dental assisting program (or current student)
- Radiology and CPR certified

Responsibilities
- Sterilize instruments and disinfect treatment rooms according to OSHA regulations
- Set up and tear down rooms
- Treat/assist patients in the overflow columns
- Assist dentist with clinical treatment in the absence of one of the full-time assistants
- Monitor schedules and keep the flow of office moving by seating patients, obtaining x-rays when others are running behind, or help wherever needed
- Educate patients on treatment and follow-up care instructions
- Accurately document and store patient records in compliance with state and federal requirements, including the HIPAA privacy and security regulations
- Send and monitor lab cases
- Monitor inventory so that supplies in treatment rooms/central are stocked
- Track cases and referrals to completion
- Assist coworkers as needed
