About The Position
Provides support to dental staff to increase efficiency and ability to provide patient care
Requirements
- Training as a Dental Assistant
- Able to work with volunteers and students to support the mission of St. Vincent de Paul
- Bilingual (English and Spanish is required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach and lift up to 30 pounds are required for this position
Nice To Haves
- Experience using the operating system Dentrix is preferred
- Experience working as a chairside assistant preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with dental procedures and documentation
- Perform dental x-rays
- Knowledge and practice of infection control techniques
- Ability to work with minimal direction
- Performs any other duties assigned by Clinical Dental Director
- Participate in and serve as a model for SVdP's Culture of Philanthropy, and ensure SVdP volunteers feel welcomed and appreciated
