About The Position

Coordinates the daily activities of the dental associates. Maintains equipment, supplies, operatory area(s), and delivery of quality dental services.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with general, peds, orthodontics or oral surgery, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares operatory prior to examination/treatment by setting up instruments consistent with procedure to be performed.
• Assists dentist at chair-side during examination and treatment of patients with suctioning, reflecting tissues, passing instruments, and the preparation and handling of dental materials and medicaments.
• Performs dental laboratory procedures including, model pouring and trimming and fabricating mouth guards.
• Develops and maintains dental x-rays during patient procedures.
• Cleans, bags, and sterilizes instruments used and is responsible for tray set-ups.
• Assists in ordering, stocking, and dispensing inventory items, and maintaining the inventory control system.
• Maintains equipment, supplies, and overall clinical facility as outlined in departmental policies and procedures.
• May participate in training of department's dental assisting students, as directed by management.
