About The Position
We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, skilled in chairside support, and able to maintain a clean and organized clinical environment. Requirements
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) (Required) or Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) preferred
- Radiology License (Required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and team-oriented
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Dentrix (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and assist the dentist during procedures (e.g., fillings, extractions, crowns, root canals)
- Hand instruments to the dentist and anticipate procedural needs
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment
- Greet and prepare patients for treatment
- Review medical histories and update patient records
- Provide post-procedure instructions and oral hygiene education
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to OSHA and CDC guidelines
- Organize and maintain dental supplies and instruments
- Ensure operatory cleanliness and readiness between appointments
- Schedule appointments and confirm visits
- Assist with billing, insurance processing, or charting
- Maintain accurate treatment documentation
