About The Position

ProHealth Medical Staffing is looking to urgently fill an open position for a cross-trained Dental Assistant for a high-end Cosmetic Dentistry practice located in Burbank, CA. We are looking for a team-player, with excellent customer service skills, and is interested in working for a boutique practice. The Dental Assistant will be responsible for: Handling high-volume of calls, taking messages, transferring calls Answering patient questions Scheduling appointments, confirming appointment and follow up visits Registering new patients and updating records Verifying insurance Obtaining benefits information Handling Co-Pays Sterilizing and disinfecting dental equipment in order to prepare for surgery Organizing instruments for each procedure Mixing fillings and materials for impressions and restorations Using suction devices to keep patients’ mouths dry and clear Applying topical anesthetics to gums Instructing patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care Making casts of the teeth and mouth from impressions Stocking dental operatories Prepping / setting up lab cases Help maintain dental supply inventory. Takes impressions, pours models and removes excess cement from seated crowns. Following treatments, rinses patients’ mouth, cleans patients face, disinfects dental operatory, cleans and sterilizes dental instruments. Performs daily maintenance and disinfection of dental equipment and counters.

Requirements

  • CPR certification
  • 1+ years Dental Assistant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in Cosmetic Dentistry (Implants, Veneers, Bonding) is a plus
