Dentologie is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to provide outstanding patient care in our South Loop practice! Come be a part of something special! Schedule: As a full-time employee, we would ask that you are comfortable working Monday-Friday, 5 shifts per week (including 3 morning and 2 evening shifts). Monday - Thursday: schedule would be either a morning shift (7:30am-2:30pm) or an evening shift (1:30 or 2:30 pm-8:30pm). Fridays: shift is always 7:30am-3:30pm. Dentologie is comprised of 13 office locations in the Chicagoland area, including: Andersonville, Belmont, Lincoln Park, South Loop, Streeterville, Bucktown, West Loop, Evanston, Clark & Diversey, Gold Coast, River North, Southport, and Oak Park/River Forest.

  • Perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties.
  • Assist dentist chairside during examination and treatment of a variety of procedures.
  • Provide a 10-star Patient experience.
  • Prepares instruments and materials for the dentist for upcoming procedures.
  • Provide direct patient care in all dental services, including restorative, ortho, pediatric, endo, periodontics, prosthodontics and OS.
  • Passes dental instruments between provider and assistant (4-handed dentistry).
  • Make patients as comfortable as possible in the chair while preparing them for treatment.
  • Sterilize & disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories post treatment.
  • Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education.
  • Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos.
  • Keep treatment records such as charting existing restorations as well as planned treatment.
  • Monitor daily supplies for restocking.
  • Assist dentist in providing patients with instructions for care post-treatment procedures.
  • Required: minimum six months of assistant experience.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service & written communication skills.
  • Clinical knowledge, skills along with patient care.
  • Prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate.
  • Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Preferred: coronal polishing certificate.
