About The Position

Advanced Dental Care of Shady Road is seeking a Dental Assistant in Ocala, FL, to join their clinical team. This role is integral to the care team, providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction within a team-based environment. The Dental Assistant will support the office and assist professional dental staff with treatment, contributing to the mission of providing excellent dental care and creating memorable patient experiences. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience and be part of a team that values teamwork and patient care.

Requirements

Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
Six months on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
X-Ray certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Nice To Haves

Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended

Responsibilities

Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
