This position will be traveling between all 3 Pony Express locations: Saratoga Springs South Jordan Eagle Mountain Dental Assistants are an integral member of our team and help foster our clinically led culture. From being the doctor’s right hand, to having the ability to connect with patients, and striving to provide the best patient experience, Dental Assistants are a key contributor to the success of our practice. Work Schedule: Tuesdays 9:30 to 5:30, Wednesday 9:30 to 6:30, Thursday's 9:30 to 5:30 Summer Hours (June through mid August) Tuesday 6:30am to 2:30pm, Wednesday 6:30am to 2:30 pm Thursday 9:30am to 5:30 pm

Requirements

Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify
X-ray certification where state regulations specify
Dental Assisting experience 1 year required

Nice To Haves

Prior working experience with Open Dental & Orthofi preferred

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable
Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
Provide patients with follow-up instructions following all dental treatment procedures
Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
