Cornerstone Care is seeking a Dental Assistant for our Mount Morris location. Job Description/Duties Include: Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols. Prepares patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient. Sterilizes and delivers instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist's access; suctioning; passing instruments. Selects, mixes, and places materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth. Exposes and develops radiographic studies; pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts. Maintains patient confidence and protecting operations by keeping information confidential. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Adheres to infection-control policies and protocols. Completes preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques. Maintains dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. Obtains prior authorizations Scans Handles patient phone calls MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent required Dental Assistant diploma preferred; but will train X-Ray Certification required within the first 6 months of employment Qualifications Cornerstone Care is a Non-Profit, Federally Qualified Health Center with 14 locations and a mobile unit, serving communities throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania, and Northern West Virginia. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • X-Ray Certification required within the first 6 months of employment
