Compensation: $15-17/hr Position Summary: The Dental Assistant primarily supports the hygiene team, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality care during hygiene procedures. This role also provides chairside assistance to the doctor as needed.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience as a dental assistant.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and organization.
- Reliability: Well-organized and reliable.
- Certification: X-ray certified.
Responsibilities
- Assist the hygienist during procedures, including patient preparation and support
- Prepare and break down hygiene operatories between patients
- Ensure patient comfort and create a positive experience throughout hygiene visits
- Take dental radiographs and assist with charting as needed
- Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols
- Support the doctor with chairside assisting at least one day a week
- Help manage patient flow and maintain an efficient clinical schedule
- Provide patient education and post-treatment instructions
