About The Position
The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. Choice Healthcare Services works with Dentists, Orthodontists and Anesthesiologists, offering a modern and supper friendly dental office where you will love to come to work, with great dentists who are committed to performing excellent dental care to our patients.
Requirements
- Certification from a dental college
- X-Ray certification
- BLS certification
- 8-hour Infection Control certification
- 2-hour Dental Practice Act certification
Nice To Haves
- Three to six months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bilingual in Spanish
Responsibilities
- Assists the doctor in procedures
- Takes x-rays
- Takes IO's
- Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
- Instructs patients on oral hygiene
- Charts cavities and teeth with doctor
- Sterilizes instruments
- Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
- Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor
