The Mercer Center for IDD Care is searching for a Dental Assistant for the Macon, Georgia clinic. For more information, please visit: https://Merceriddcare.org The Dental Assistant supports the dentist in clinical, administrative, and compliance-related functions to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include assisting during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, maintaining patient records, preparing and sterilizing instruments, and supporting front-office operations as needed. This role is essential for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring efficient dental operations.

Requirements

A High School Diploma/GED, along with one year of dental assisting experience.
Candidate must have a valid CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization procedures.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to sit, stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Manual dexterity to handle and operate dental instruments.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
