About The Position
Children’s Dental Surgery is seeking a passionate Dental Assistant to join our close-knit team in providing top-notch dental care to our patients. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients feel comfortable and receive the highest quality dental care possible. You will assist the dentist during procedures, prepare and sterilize instruments, maintain patient records, and provide exceptional patient care. The ideal assistant for our team has a calm disposition and a talent for building rapport with young patients, who may be scared or anxious. Requirements
- X-ray certification preferred or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire
- Basic knowledge of hygiene, restorative, and orthodontics
- All required CE credits required by the state
Nice To Haves
- Dental Assisting certificate preferred
- Dental office experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Work with patients to make them comfortable and prepare them for treatment.
- Capture diagnostic images
- Assist the doctors and patients with a wide range of restorative procedures
- Chart and enter notes in Dentrix
- Work in a team-oriented environment
- Advise parent or guardian what to expect in the visit and address any concerns
