Dental Assistant – Pediatric Specialty Leap Kids Dental | Raymore & Kansas City, MO Leap Kids Dental is seeking a motivated, high-energy Dental Assistant to join our mission of creating smiles that last a lifetime! As a Dental Assistant, you will be the right hand to our dentists, ensuring every patient receives high-quality clinical care in a comfortable setting. This position requires a versatile professional who can balance technical precision with a cheerful, child-friendly demeanor. Schedule & Location: This role provides vital support across two of our clinics: Raymore, MO: 4 days per week Kansas City, MO: 1 day per week

Requirements

  • Valid Dental Assistant License or Certificate (New graduates are highly encouraged to apply!).
  • Active CPR Certification is require d or must be willing to get certified, we will assist with the cost .
  • While 1+ years of experience is preferred, we are happy to train the right candidate who brings a solid work history, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for learning pediatric dentistry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide chairside assistance during pediatric dental exams and procedures.
  • Prepare treatment areas, manage sterile instrumentation, and maintain a high standard of clinical organization.
  • Document patient visits accurately using both electronic and paper records.
  • Communicate treatment plans clearly to both children and their parents, ensuring a transparent and stress-free experience.
  • Create a welcoming, "fun" atmosphere that reduces dental anxiety for our young patients.
  • Foster trusting relationships with families through empathetic and professional communication.
  • Act as a proactive team player, anticipating the needs of the provider and fellow staff members.
  • Maintain a smooth daily workflow through efficient scheduling and detailed record-keeping.
  • Utilize dental software and digital imaging systems with accuracy and ease.
  • Ensure the clinic operates optimally through consistent reliability and sharp attention to detail.
