About The Position

of medical professionals at the Otero County Processing Medical located in
Chaparral, New Mexico.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Six (6) months clinical dental assistant experience, current certification, or registration as a dental assistant in the state of New Mexico or compact state, and current certification in dental radiological procedures.
• Must possess current CPR certification. 30 hours of continuing education are required during each triennial renewal cycle.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of New Mexico or Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist in performing services by preparing patients in chair and handling required instruments, equipment, and dental plastics.
• Sterilize instruments and keep the office stocked with required supplies.
• Arrange and maintain appointment schedule.
• Keep records of patients. Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records; observe applicable HIPPA rules.
