Position Overview Magnolia Dental is seeking an organized and energetic Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will support our dentists in delivering high-quality care, ensuring patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their visits.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Dental Assistant program or relevant certification required
  • Current radiology certification for the state of Ohio (required).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and the dental team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with dental software and modern technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for dental procedures, ensuring their comfort and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Assist the dentist during procedures, including handing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a clean field.
  • Take and process dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
  • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation of procedures and treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on post-procedure care, oral hygiene, and preventative dental practices.
  • Monitor and restock supplies in treatment rooms and the practice as needed.
  • Support front office tasks, such as scheduling appointments and verifying patient insurance, when necessary.
