About The Position
The Dental Assistant will assist dentist in delivery of patient care.
Requirements
- Education: High school or equivalent.
- Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Virginia Dental Radiation Safety certificate; AHA BLS-HCP required.
- Other Minimum Qualifications: Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Assists dentist in delivery of patient care.
- Organizes dental clinic equipment and materials.
- Coordinates operating room cases and assists staff dentists.
- Enhances professional development through participating in in-services and continuing education programs.
- Communicates with physicians, dentists, nursing staff, and ancillary hospital personnel, patients and patients’ families.
