About The Position

Rockbridge Area Health Center seeks a full-time Dental Assistant to join our Dental Team! As a Dental Assistant, you will be an active participant in the mobile dental program and assist in the administration and maintenance of an efficiently operated clinic. Your day will consist of assisting the dentist and dental hygienist in the direct provision of primary care dental services to patients. Responsibilities also include the sterilization, preparation, maintenance and inventory control of dental instruments, equipment and supplies. You will also be part of Rockbridge Area Health Center’s mobile dental program, which promotes oral health throughout our community. You will also occasionally work in our Buena Vista location. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is Required
  • Basic Life Support Provider Certification at the time of hire is Required
  • Completion of Accelerated Dental Assisting Program or previous Dental Assisting experience is Required

Nice To Haves

  • Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) Certification is Preferred
  • X-Ray Certification is Preferred

Responsibilities
